Northwoods Nature Yoga Conference at Lakewoods Resort

Wilderness to the people of America is a spiritual necessity, an antidote to the high pressure
of modern life, a means of regaining serenity and equilibrium."

- Sigurd Olson, Wisconsin Native/Lover of Nature

Northwoods Nature Yoga Conference unites people with nature and themselves at Lakewoods Resort in the heart of the Wisconsin North Woods.

Yoga has always been linked with nature. You can create a perfect fit, when the powerful influence of your surroundings is combined with your practices. At Lakewoods, you can re-connect with nature, while striving to improve your quality of life. Our conference and instructors are selected to make the most of our location on the shores of Lake Namakagon while surrounded by the Chequamegon National Forest.

Instructors from around the country will show you the way in taking your Yoga to the next level. People like Scott Cole, Susi Hatley Aldous, Sage Lewis, Susan Hogg, Gabriele Kushi and others will bring a whole new level and understanding to your relationship with the universe through Yoga. You don't want to miss these four days that will change your life.

Yoga (meaning to yoke or unite) is the practice of uniting body, mind and spirit, through physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation. It is an excellent way to reduce stress, while simultaneously improving flexibility, strength and muscle tone. With Yoga you will learn to focus your mind and relax your spirit.

In wilderness people can find the silence and the solitude and the noncivilized surroundings that can connect them once again to their evolutionary heritage, and through an experience of the eternal mystery, can give them a sense of the sacredness of all creation. - Sigurd Olson (1899-1982)
