Golf course architect Joel Goldstrand has been designing acclaimed golf courses for many years, including our outstanding championship course at Lakewoods Resort.

Many of his courses are in his home state of Minnesota, including the Pines at Grand View Lodge, Creeks Bend, Ridges at Sand Creek and Sugarbrooke.

But he also has courses in Wisconsin, South Dakota and Iowa and other locations throughout the world.

An avid golfer, Goldstrand was the Minnesota State Open Champion in 1985 and also played at one time on the PGA Tour.  He now offers a Goldstrand Tour of courses for golfers to follow showing off his favorite designs.  Of course, our own Forest Ridges, plays a prominant roll in all his golf tours.

As in all his designs, he is adept at handling the rolling terrain, lakes and ponds and tree-studded landscapes of the Northwoods – turning them into outstanding layouts that have developed loyal fans throughout the Midwest.
