We're literally a resort for all seasons and for weddings in all seasons. In spring, the forests begin to bud with new life; in summer, you'll be dazzled by the balmy weather and sun-dappled lake waters; in the fall, our forests flame with rich reds and golds; and in winter, a blanket of sparkling snow nestles over the mighty pines.

Wonderful dining rooms and facilities:

We have beautiful facilities indoors as well that can handle up to 450 guests; we have done a wedding for up to 600 guests outdoors using tents.

Comfortable lodging for your guests:

Lakewoods offers the most beautiful deluxe accommodations in the Northwoods! This enables you to create the perfect destination wedding. With 32 lodge rooms surrounding the indoor pool, 46 condominium units and 40 lake homes or golf villas, your guests will not only be comfortable, but feel pampered.

Room blocks for a two-night minimum stay on weekends or three nights on holidays are available. And special rates are available in the spring and fall, depending upon availability.

Delicious cuisine for your reception:

Lakewoods features the best dining in the Midwest. Specialty sit-down dinners, family-style entrees, and buffets are all available. Please keep in mind – this is not a complete listing of all options available – this is a simple list to give you something to start from. We will create any menu you desire: from a simple, but elegant hors d'oeuvres reception, to a specialty theme dinner. We can assist you in creating the menu you want and your guests will enjoy.

On-site wedding ceremony:

Lakewoods is the perfect site for ceremonies as well as receptions. On the shores of beautiful Lake Namakagon, Lakewoods is a unique, picturesque location for your special day.

Ceremonies can be held inside the lodge, by the lake, under a gazebo on our romantic island, or in front of the condominiums. We have five difference locations in all – three on the lakeshore and two on the golf course. Additional set-up fee or labor charges will be added as service is required. You are welcome to enjoy all the Northwoods has to offer.

Equipment and service recommendations:

We provide much of the equipment for your wedding including centerpieces, chairs, tables, and linens and tents if you need them. But we work with many wedding service providers to help make your choices easier. We can recommend bakers for the ultimate wedding cake, or a tuxedo rental for guests.

Cutting the cake with style:

Lakewoods' professional service staff is available to cut and serve your wedding cake. Prices for this service are determined by the number of people that you have guaranteed for your reception. Of course you may also cut and serve your own cake.

Please ask our professional wedding planners for suggestions on the cake of your dreams. We have several excellent bakers in the area to recommend for a personalized creation.

Lots of activities and recreation for your guests:

Lakewoods offers recreational activities year round to make your wedding complete. Your guests can enjoy a golf tournament at our beautiful championship 18-hole golf course; pontoon rentals from our full service marina; indoor and outdoor pools including hot tub, volleyball tournaments at our lakeside volleyball court; a bonfire by the lake; hayrides, sleigh rides; ice-skating on the lake; cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing in the Chequamegon National Forest; or snowmobiling on the numerous trails around the resort. You can be assured that you and your guests will have a great time, regardless of the season!

We will handle all the details:

We have a friendly and gracious staff that knows how to create outstanding weddings of all sizes. We have been holding weddings for 30 years and have hosted more than 500 weddings and receptions at our facility. To ensure that all expectations are being met and to finalize any last-minute details, we will also have you for a private meeting with our wedding coordinators one month prior to your wedding date. Please remember that this is your event and no request is too big or too small. We are more than happy to accommodate all of your specific needs – whether it be a special recipe or a treasured family tradition.
